Sparks Good: Stories That Scale.

TikTok Australia set out to celebrate a new wave of entrepreneurs – small-to-medium businesses turning creativity into real commercial success. Sparks Good was designed as both a showcase and an invitation: highlighting what’s possible on the platform while encouraging others to take the leap.

I designed and delivered a fast-turnaround website that brought these stories to life. The experience needed to feel unmistakably TikTok – energetic, bold and content-first – while still providing a clear, structured journey for users less familiar with the platform.

Working closely with a freelance developer, we translated the design into a polished Webflow build, combining storytelling, education and embedded video content to create a seamless bridge between inspiration and action.

Platform meets storytelling

The site was built to balance two key needs: explaining how TikTok works for business, while celebrating the success of those already thriving on the platform.

It introduced the Sparks Good programme, guided new users through the fundamentals of TikTok, and lead into rich creator profiles. Each profile combined the creator’s story with embedded TikTok videos, allowing visitors to experience each brand’s journey authentically as a user might on the app itself.

The result was an experience that felt both informative and immersive, designed to be attention-grabbing for both new and existing users.

Built for impact, designed for speed

My key challenge was delivering a high-quality experience within a tight timeframe. The design needed to stay true to TikTok’s visual style while remaining simple enough for a quick development phase.

I focused on creating a system that was bold but efficient – with strong typography and modular and templated layouts maintaining consistency across the site. This approach enabled a smooth handover with a freelance developer, ensuring the final Webflow site wasn’t a challenge to build quickly and accurately.

The finished site captured the TikTok look and feel while clearly communicating the opportunity the platform offers – turning real success stories into a compelling call to action for future SMBs.
